Baggage Drop

May we all head the right way with unpacking the baggage.

MASLab Unity in Community Baggage drop, a new pilot project at JHAC in Kidderminster and the Smash rooms in Ketley, Telford.

Baggage drop is a dialogue between renowned artists and local Community which addresses how music and the arts can reflect an ethic on care with creative healing media work.

Unpacking the baggage - Books -magazines - records- CDs - posters - Meaningful pieces of personal physical media - music formats - readables - playables connecting creative minds within a safety social net at these new centres.

MASLab Artists and friends to donate to baggage drop items that once inspired them and possibly helped them but are now collecting dust also share a quick story. Such as the record got me through this period... This book changed my perspective when I was... this links the physical media directly to mental wellness.

And creative growth, have the artists to write a brief encouraging note on the inside cover of the books or the vinyl sleeve, play it loud, artist name etc. this turns ordinary used items into local treasures. Also in time at each centre use baggage crates instead of standard shelves, painted suitcases or trunks, the centre’s will need record players - cassette players cd players etc. to experience the physical media. - create Artists care package- give a simple digital guide detailing

MASLab Collaborations - Update

Dave Shuck has been busy supporting Kev’s latest project alongside our newest collaborators: Music & Wellbeing Sessions in Telford | Smashroom Music & Wellbeing CIC and Anabranch Plus — Anabranch Plus — Social Value & PPN 026 Delivery Partner. Both organisations are held in high regard, and MASLab is committed to supporting them in every way we can.

True to form, Dave is off on one of his creative tangents, experimenting with artificial intelligence, affectionately referred to as his “new mate AI”, to develop cartoons, music sessions, and video‑based workshops inspired by the Two Wolves Cherokee Legend. If successful, he hopes to make the full programme freely available to anyone who wants it by 2027. The intention is for it to be a co‑designed offering shaped by the experienced practitioners featured on the MASLab Collaborators page. Fire in the Stillness

Jane Noble Knight Jane Noble Knight – Inspire You has been extremely busy on the home front, but Dave hopes she will bring her remarkable skills, insight, and a much‑needed woman’s voice to the Two Wolves Project.

Errol McGlashan is currently performing Whoever Has Ears To Hear, a solo dramatic recital of the Gospel of Mark delivered entirely from memory. It traces Jesus’ ministry, teachings, miracles, death and resurrection. Dave says Errol is the closest he has ever come to sheer genius. Whoever Has Ears To Hear | Edinburgh Festival Fringe
