MASLab and Jellyman’s Heritage Arts Charity had a successful meeting on the 22nd of March 2026. Moving from brainstorming to action, it was a chance to collaborate and be inspired in the new JHAC library to spark new ideas for Arts advocacy and creative place making.

Action items:

  1. To build further partnerships with other community groups to expand reach and resources.

  2. Host poetry and writing groups.

  3. Opening minds with links to the University of the Third Age.

  4. Supporting Care Leavers through Activities and spaces at JHAC.

  5. Explore 5-aside Chess, would help to tackle loneliness and mental health issues but is also beginner friendly to help children and new players grasp the game quickly.

"MASLab projects are often improvised and collaborative creating platforms where Artists and communities can work and think together in public. The political climate has grown darker; creative workshops are the MASLab Mission."

Kevyn Gammond

Taking a seat at the JHAC table were Mark Oakes, Dave Shuck, and Kev Gammond.
